The National Weather Service issued a high wind warning in the upper Treasure Valley until 9 p.m. Monday.
Just how windy are we talking about? The NWS says the valley can expect Northwest winds of 35 to 45 miles per hour with gusts up to 65 miles per hour.
That wind started blowing last night – and knocking over driveway basketball hoops and sending trash can flying. In some cases, trees have also fallen.
There was a power outage as well associated with the wind, which effected many homes in the Meridian area from about 12:30am to 1:30am.
Driving High Profile vehicles is not advised at this time.
