Last spring, the Race to Robie Creek was first postponed, then canceled altogether, due to Covid-19…and runners were hoping it would take place, in person this spring.
Race officials have now announced that this year’s event will be virtual because it’s the best option for the event in 2021 given the many unknowns right now.
In a Facebook post, a statement also read, while we realize a virtual event is not ideal, we still want to host an event that everyone can safely participate in and enjoy until we can hold the Race to Robie Creek with all of the usual festivities.
Those runners who donated their 2020 entry fees and were guaranteed an entry for 2021…that guaranteed entry will be rolled over to 2022.
CBS 2 reports race officials say details about the virtual race will be announced soon.
