Vandalism Investigation Continues at Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial

Boise Police are investigating nine swastika symbol stickers that were placed on parts of the Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial.

The Wassmuth Center for Human Rights posted on Facebook that swastika symbols were found at the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial in Boise on Tuesday, but they did not make it public until Wednesday.

Boise Police says sometime late Monday night or early Tuesday morning, nine stickers with swastika symbols were placed at different areas of the memorial.

The stickers were immediately removed. Boise Police officers are now reviewing surveillance video and investigating.

The memorial has been the target of vandalism a few times over the years. In 2017, the memorial was vandalized, which cost $20,000 to repair.
