Chairman of West Ada School District resigns during school board meeting

The Chairman of West Ada School District abruptly resigned last night following a 4 hour school board meeting.

Ed Klopfenstein said during the meeting, I feel that obviously the board does not appreciate the work that I’m doing, and then resigned his position, sighting problems working with the other trustees.

Also during the West Ada School Board meeting, the board recommended ways to transition to category Red operations.

CBS 2 News reports, this included an alternating schedule with a dedicated pre-recorded remote learning day on Mondays for all schools.

The board also discussed future plans for category yellow.

However, at the end of the meeting, the board decided to hold off on making a decision until they have more time and a clear plan, despite CDH’s “red” designation.
