The West Ada School District held a special board meeting on Thursday evening to gather public feedback on the district’s reopening plan.
The district said it received 425 written comments ahead of the meeting from folks in the community. In total, 45 people rose to speak about what matters most to them, and their students.
Everything from fall sports to fall classes is on the line as West Ada attempts to pin down what this upcoming school year is going to look like.
The vast majority of parents and teachers who spoke at the meeting agree: school must resume in person for students this fall. But safety must also be part of the equation.
CBS 2 News reports, the West Ada School District will be meeting again this Tuesday at 6 p.m. to hammer out more details in their fall reopening plan.
