Andrew Wilper is a physician and Chief of Staff at the Boise Veterans Affairs Hospital. He’s helping the VA prepare in case the coronavirus outbreak hits Idaho.

Between 35 and 40,000 patients receive care at the VA.

Fortunately, none of them have the coronavirus. But, if that were to change – the hospital is ready.

Wilper tells CBS-2 News, a screening area has been built, so anyone exhibiting symptoms would actually be screened outside of the main hospital.

The screening area is just outside of the emergency room.
