Suspect arraigned on First-Degree Murder Charge

David Randall of Boise, appeared in state district court Wednesday, arraigned on a first-degree murder charge in connection with the death of Darla Fletcher, his ex-girlfriend

Randall, who was arrested Tuesday, said little during his video arraignment, at times, not even answering a judge’s questions.

Prosecutors say sometime between Sunday and Monday, Randall beat Fletcher, with a blunt object and stabbed her to death at his home on Cambria Lane in Boise.

Prosecutors say the victim was tortured before she was killed.

Randall is being held without bond on a first-degree murder charge.

Prosecuors would not say whether they are seeking the death penalty and have 90 days to decide. A preliminary hearing is set for Dec. 30.
