Meridian High School student hit by car

A Meridian High School student was struck by a vehicle Thursday morning in a crosswalk at school.

Meridian Police says a 15-year-old student was crossing Linder Road when a southbound vehicle hit the student.

Officers say it appears the student did not use the flashing crosswalk that’s in place at the intersection.

CBS2 reports that the school zone was not in effect.

Meridian PD says the student suffered a broken arm and concussion but should make a full recovery.

No citations have been issued.
