Wednesday evening (6/5/19), Boise State fans can get a first, in person look at the new Boise State blue turf at Albertson’s Stadium. Not only will you get to look at the newly installed turf, but you’ll also be allowed to run, walk or roll on the turf. The best news is that it’s all free for you and your family.
“Unveil the Blue” begins at 5 p.m. All BAA members and season ticket holders will be getting first dibs on checking out the new turf. It will then be open to the general public beginning at 6 p.m.
The event is free and runs till 8 p.m.. Those of you who are planning to attend are asked to enter through the Hall of Fame in the southwest corner of the stadium. In addition to getting on the Blue, Coach Bryan Harsin, Boise State football players, spirit squad members and mascots will also be on hand for the event.
While the event is free, you might want to bring some extra cash, because fans will be able to purchase one square foot of the old Blue Turf for $39.95. The school will only sell 500 pieces of turf and is available on a first come first serve basis. All proceeds go to funding scholarships at BSU and if my math is correct would mean about $20,000 worth of scholarships.
That isn’t the only great football related news we have for you. Fall Football practice is only about 2 months away, with BSU’s first game in Jacksonville against the Florida State Seminoles scheduled for August 31st.
670 KBOI wants to send you and a guest to Jacksonville to see the Broncos take on the Seminoles absolutely free.
Beginning Monday (6/10/19) listen every morning to Kasper and Chris and every afternoon to Nate Shelman to get qualified for free roundtrip airfare tickets and hotel accommodations, compliments of Harmon Travel, the official travel agency of Boise State athletics. You also get a pair of tickets to the game compliments of Express Plumbing Service.
Remember, listen every morning, beginning Monday between 5 and 10 and every afternoon between 3 and 6 for multiple chances at qualifying for the free trip for two to Jacksonville, here from the home of the Broncos, 670 KBOI.
