Court Records Say Amber Alert Mother Planned to Inject Herself, Daughter with Bleach

Nampa (670 KBOI News) – According to court records, the Nampa mother who triggered a recent Amber alert said she was planning to inject herself and her daughter with bleach, to rid themselves of parasites.

The Idaho Statesman is reporting Brooke Helmandollar was arrested in Cheney, Washington, and her 10-year old daughter was placed in the custody of Child Protective Services.

Helmandollar reportedly later recanted and said she wasn’t going to inject the bleach, just use it for cleaning. In a hotel room where she and her daughter were staying, police found the bleach, along with charcoal and other materials that reportedly were to be used for enemas.

She and the girl were staying in the hotel, because she believed her home was filled with parasites.

Her husband, Columbia High School football coach John Helmandollar, is also being investigated for possible child endangerment, because of his apparent lack of concern for the girl’s welfare.
