Ada County Sheriff arrested two parents Thursday and say six children ages 4 to 14-years-old were in danger due to filthy living conditions in their south Boise home.
The parents are identified as Jamie Rose and Lawrence Rose and were arrested on felony injury to child charges.
After an investigation beginning in May, detectives say they were contacted by a third party with concerns about living conditions inside the Rose family home in the Lake Hazel Road/Seabreeze Way neighborhood.
A search warrant for the home was obtained and deputies found the conditions of the home an absolute mess, strewn with garbage and animal feces. Deputies say there was also a bottle of morphine left on a table that could be reached by children.
KBOI-2-TV reports, the children were placed in custody of Idaho Department of Health and Welfare and two dogs and a cat are now with the Idaho Humane Society.
Jamie and Lawrence Rose will face the crime of felony injury to child, which is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
