Boise (670 KBOI) – Are the Idaho media giving conservative and Republican lawmakers a fair shake? One conservative Republican says no.
That’s why District 7 Representative Priscilla Giddings says she and other conservatives will hand out the Idaho Fake News Awards at the end of the session.
She gave 670 KBOI’s Nate Shelman a couple of examples, one as recently as this past weekend, in a local newspaper.
“A couple of front-page pictures; they were posting some old photos, from some events that didn’t really happen this weekend,” said Giddings. “We also have from our big legislative preview, we had a reporter who wasn’t even there, who quoted the wrong person.”
Giddings says 95% of Idaho newspaper coverage of conservatives is negative.
