One Dead And One Rescued After Plane Crash

One person was killed and another rescued after a small plane crash in Valley County.

The Valley County Sheriff’s Office says they received a call from the pilot of a small plane who said his aircraft had stalled and he was forced to crash land near Sulfur Creek Air Strip.

KBOI-2-TV reports, Andrew Akin of Georgia also told them he was injured and needed medical help, and that his passenger had died in the crash.

The sheriff’s office says they were able to roughly determine the plane’s location using the cell phone signal and an air ambulance was dispatched.

A helicopter was able to hoist the pilot out and take him to Cascade Airport, where the air ambulance picked him up and took him to the hospital.

The victim identified as David Henderson of Boise.
