Hundreds came out to a candlelight vigil supporting Cpl. Kevin Holtry and his family, as well as all law enforcement Tuesday evening.
The vigil began with good news from Boise Police Chief Bill Bones, who says Holtry today was actually able to talk, and tell his family how much he loved them.
The vigil was organized by several law enforcement families.
Organizers were expecting 300 people, but estimate over 500 came out to show support.
Multiple departments came out to the Idaho Peace Officer’s Memorial to show support, some even coming as far as Washington County.
Along with lighting a candle, everyone from the event signed a banner that will hang in Cpl. Holtry’s hospital room.
