Kieran Donahue will continue as the Canyon County Sheriff after being re-elected Tuesday, defeating Robert Muse.

Donahue received an overwhelming 75 percent of the vote.

The Idaho Press Tribune reports, Donahue’s priorities for his next term include recruiting qualified individuals to work in the sheriff’s office and explaining the needs of the Canyon County jail, but his top priority is public safety.
