A man and woman are under arrest after a suspected drug deal turned into a high speed chase through Canyon County.
Caldwell Police say officers tried to pull over a vehicle that may have been involved in a drug deal. The driver sped off, and threw a white substance out the window.
After a lengthy chase, officers arrested the suspect – who was hiding in some sagebrush. Methamphetamine was allegedly found in the car.
Alvin Ramirez and Yesenia Ortiz have both been arrested for resisting and obstructing officers.
Ramirez faces felony charges of Eluding a Peace Officer, and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
