Former Oregon Police Officer Pleads Not Guilty In Teen Sex Case

A former Oregon police officer who allegedly had sex with an Idaho teen has pleaded not guilty.

45-year-old Michael Alexander was arrested in March after the 15-year-old boy’s mother found inappropriate text messages on his cellphone.

The mother contacted police, who arrested Alexander and charged him with two counts of lewd and lascivious conduct with a minor and one count of enticing a child over the Internet.

Alexander allegedly traveled to Idaho twice last year to meet the boy for sex.

A pre-trial hearing is scheduled for July 18th and a jury trial is set to begin on August 23rd.
