Like I’ve mentioned recently, it’s spring cleaning time. But, it’s also time I re-organize my house and update some of my furniture.
My dresser and matching end table were pretty icky looking. They’ve been used a lot and had water stains on them from potted plants as well as, spilled nail polish stains. I thought it was time to update those especially. Over the weekend, I sanded both pieces and then painted them black. I painted the drawers a separate color, gray. After that I added small wooden birds that I painted black and pasted to the drawers, just to give the dresser and end table an extra design. Both pieces actually turned out amazing. They also match the bed frame in my house, which is also black. It brings the room together and looks brand new. I may have to add a little updated paint to some other items in my home.
