No Post Season for Boise State! Ugh, really?
As sad as that is to many of us who were looking forward to some BSU March Madness, the decision not to play in a post season tournament probably saved you a few bucks at your local watering hole, and the program another one and done trip to nowhere.
Has there been a more “Jekyll and Hyde” story than the one we saw at Boise State this year?
There is enough blame to go around right now, so in the interest of trying not to kick anyone when they are down, I won’t point any fingers.
Honestly, I’m a little disappointed in this years Broncos Men’s Basketball team. I thought this team was loaded for a run at the NCAA Tournament this year, with a chance at even making a little noise. I was really hoping to move past getting hosed in Dayton by the NCAA selection committee last year.
Here in a nutshell is my problem: The Broncos had a guy who should be the ALL TIME LEADING SCORER in Boise State team history (Anthony Drmic), coupled with arguably the most talented player to ever come thru the program (James Webb). How does that team fail?
Now the next question: Will Webb stay in Boise, or leave school early and head to the NBA?
Let me take a minute to tip my cap here to Anthony Drmic. I always found him to be easy to talk to and a really good person. I did not get to talk to many of the Seniors this season, but I had spoken to Anthony many times on the radio over the past few years, and I wish him all the best.
