An 18-year-old Meridian man who shot and killed a 15-year-old boy with what he believed was an unloaded gun has been sentenced to serve prison time.
David Provencio was sentenced to 15 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter after pleading guilty to the charge.
Provencio shot and killed Tristan Fenton in October after a night of smoking pot and drinking alcohol.
Provencio will be eligible for parole after five years in prison.
