Brandon Shaw has been charged with first degree murder after he allegedly stabbed his girlfriend Chelsey Malone multiple times Wednesday outside a home they shared in Nampa.
Shaw was interviewed by detectives according to the Idaho Statesman, and told them he actually tried to shoot Malone but his rifle failed to fire.
An affidavit taken by detectives indicates Shaw came into the house with his rifle, and Malone then called 911. When Shaw’s rifle would not fire, Malone ran out of the house. Shaw then grabbed a pair of kitchen knives and chased after her, catching her in the front of the house, where the stabbing occured.
The woman was stabbed multiple times, and killed.
Malone had three young sons, all younger than 5 years old. A “go fund me page” has been set up on the boys behalf.
