I love concerts and live music. I think it shows by the many concerts I have gone to. This year alone I’ve see Queensryche, Ringo Starr and the All Star Band, and Elton John. I’ve seen little concerts between those but those were definitely my Top 3.
Elton John was the most recent (October 10th) and it was amazing. He performed for nearly 3 hours and it was every song you could think of. My favorite song of his is Tiny Dancer. It was his last concert in Boise, Idaho which is pretty depressing. But that was the main reason I attended the concert. You see, I have already seen Elton John in concert. This was a great concert though, very loud, and the music was amazing. He also inspired me to learn Your Song on the piano (I’ve learned the beginning so far).
As for Ringo Starr, I went because I am the biggest Beatles fan you will ever meet. When I heard Ringo was coming the first thing I did was figure out when tickets were going on sale and set my alarm to purchase them. There’s no way I would miss seeing a real-life Beatle in person. I’ve seen cover bands, who are all great, but this was a real Beatle. The concert was okay and there were very little Beatles songs performed which disappointed me, but it was overall good.
As for Queensryche, the new lead singer is fantastic. He is full of energy and really hit the high notes (that I didn’t think was possible). The band played all of their greatest hits including the newer ones. The concert was overall fantastic and I would pay to see them again in a heartbeat.
