Boise Police are investigating what started as a traffic stop, but ended in an officer-involved shooting in the Boise Bench area.
The traffic stop happened shortly before midnight on Monday according to KBOI-2-TV.
Police say one individual fled the vehicle, and after a short foot pursuit, officers were engaged in a shooting on Peasley Street.
The individual in the shooting was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries.
No officers were injured.
There is an ongoing investigation, which is being led by the Critical Incident Task Force and the Idaho State Police.
