Two People Behind Bars Following Police Chase

WOODWARD-POLICE CHASEWILLIAMS-POLICE CHASE

A man and woman are cooling their heels in the Ada County Jail after losing their tires to Meridian Police stop sticks Sunday night.

Deputy police chief Treacy Basterrechea says it started when one of his officers saw a car driving wildly on Fairview, with its headlights off… “They attempted the traffic stop and initially they believed that the vehicle was going to pull to the side of the road, but it sped off leading officers on a chase.”

Police put out stop sticks at Pine and Linder…the car then stopped in a subdivision and it’s two occupants ran.  Police caught and arrested Jeffrey Williams and Margo Woodward.  They’re each charged with several felonies and misdemeanors, from eluding and drug charges, to failure to appear.

They were both arraigned in Ada County Court this (Monday) afternoon…bond was set at 250-thousand for Williams, and 150-thousand for Woodward.
