The BLM has issued a temporary emergency closure for a portion of the Lower Salmon River in order to ensure public safety from The Teepee Fire.
The Lower Salmon River is closed to all recreational activities along the Salmon River Road from French Creek to the mouth of the Little Salmon River in Riggins, Idaho.
An evacuation notice for the Salmon River Road, from French Creek to Riggins, went into effect on Wednesday.
More evacuations may be necessary.
