The Soda Fire: The fire is now the largest in the nation. The Bureau of Land Management says it has scorched 265,000 acres and is only 10% contained. It sparked Monday in Owyhee County near the Idaho/Oregon Border. The BLM believes lightning sparked the fire. Residents in Silver City and the Wilson Creek area, near Highway 78, have been evacuated. Residents in Jordan Valley and Marsing have lost power, but Idaho Power has placed generators in those areas. They are asking residents to limit the use of the generators and only use them for things that are necessary. Crews in Idaho, Oregon, and Nevada are all working to control this fire. Ten new Type 1 Management Teams have been called in Friday morning. Idaho Fish and Game says they are worried about the fire, because it has burned several acres of sage grouse habitat.

The Eyrie Fire: The fire sparked around 1 PM near Eyrie Way Thursday in the Boise Foothills. It was around 50 yards away from dozens of homes. Some people were asked to evacuate as fire crews attacked the flames from the ground and the air. The flames were stopped before they spread to the homes and nothing was damaged. Boise Fire says a construction company using a circular saw to cut a pipe, caused sparks, which created the fire. It has been fully contained.

The West Scriver Fire: The fire is burning in the Boise National Forest near Crouch. It sparked Monday and has burned around 600 acres. The U.S. Forest Service says there are 7 Type 2 Management Teams working on this fire, as well as, 200 firefighters and 1 hotshot crew. Officials say dry conditions, gusty winds, and rough terrain is making it hard to get control of this fire.
The Wolf Fire: The fire sparked Monday afternoon by lightning in the Boise National Forest near Crouch. The fire is about 8 miles east of Jackson Peak and moving into the Sawtooth Wilderness. The U.S. Forest Service says it has scorched 52 acres, but fire crews are getting the upper hand.

The Lawyer Complex Fire: The fire is burning near Kamiah, along Highway 12, Highway 64, and Woodland Grade Road. Fire officials say the fire has sparked more than 3,700 acres and is 15% contained. Residents near Celestial Road and Friendship Lane in the Woodland area have been told to be ready to evacuate. This fire sparked Monday afternoon due to a lightning storm.
The Fisher Fire: The fire is burning in the Nez Perce area near Big Canyon. The Idaho Department of Lands says the fire has scorched more than 1,300 acres. It sparked Wednesday morning due to a lightning storm. Several roads have been closed in the area, but no structures are threatened. A Type 2 Management Team and about 80 firefighters are working this fire. They says winds that are reaching up to 45 mph and dry conditions are causing them problems.
