The Soda Fire has crossed Highway 95 near Mile Marker 7. Highway 95 remains closed from Marsing to Jordan Valley due to advancing fire. The fire was just mapped at 78,720 acres. Structures that are threatened are currently the top priority for fire fighters. One structure has been lost, but no confirmation on the location. Currently, there are no evacuations ordered and no injuries reported. The fire has burned some powerlines which has created a power outage in Jordan Valley.
The Beeter fire burned approximately 3 acres, 7 miles southeast of Mountain Home off Beet Dump Road. Mountain Home Rural Fire Department responded quickly to extinguish the fire. It was contained and controlled at 7PM.
The Wash fire is burning approximately 7 miles to the southwest of Grandview. The fire is approximately 10 acres with little activity. Grandview Rural Fire Department has knocked down active flame. Three BLM engines and a contract dozer are working on their way into the fire.
The Spring fire is burning grass and juniper approximately 7 miles to the southeast of Silver City. A helicopter and two Smokejumpers are responding. The fire is estimated to be 3 acres in size.
The Boulder and Boone fires were reported to be single trees on fire in the vicinity of the Spring fire and are showing little activity at this time.
