UPDATE:Wildfires Burning In Idaho

The U.S. Forest Service says fire crews are working on several fires that sparked in Idaho Monday afternoon.

A lightning storm went through mountains east of Crouch, Idaho and have ignited at least 5 new fires between Scott Mountain Lookout and Silver Creek Lookout. Each fire is less than an acre.

The Daggett Fire in the Boise Foothills sparked earlier Monday morning, but was contained 5 o’clock. It scorched less than an acre.

The Bureau of Land Management is working on the Soda Fire which sparked in the Owyhee Mountains near Cow Creek due to lightning. BLM officials say it has burned around 6,500 acres. It started at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon.
