Senator Jim Risch of Idaho says the nuclear deal with Iran gives them a clear road to develop not just a nuclear weapon, but the missiles to carry them across the world. What’s more, he’s not sure Congress will do anything to stop it.
Sen. Jim Risch (R-ID)
“I could be wrong, but I think it’ll pass the House, clearly because they only need 50% plus one there,” Risch said. “The Senate takes 60% to pass the bill, then of course in any event it takes two-thirds to override a presidential veto, which he said he was going to do.”
Another part of the deal would free us $100 billion of frozen Iranian assets. Risch thinks that money will be used to support terrorist groups working against the United States and Israel.
