You may not see ducks or geese at exhibits at Idaho fairs anymore.
That’s after concerns about the spread of bird flu.
The Idaho State Department of Agriculture plans to release a recommendation this week that fair boards can prohibit domestic waterfowl.
They also plan to increase security measures on all birds that may enter the fairgrounds, that includes not sharing food and not touching the birds.
The Idaho Press-Tribune reports, Iowa, Ohio, and Nebraska have all canceled bird exhibits as well.
