Baseball – Little League Etiquette Reminder

I have boys who play Little League Baseball.  I enjoy volunteering my time and passing on what I know about a game that I love.  You will find me this coaching, umpiring, and volunteering in many other capacities as is needed in a volunteer league.  As a matter of fact, I just helped MC the Northwest Ada Little League Opening Ceremony on Saturday, April 4th.

I find that many people do not care to volunteer, or are just too busy to help out.  This is understandable, and I don’t hold it against anyone.  HOWEVER: The following is something I like to remind people, as they come to watch games.

I tell the boys I coach a couple of key things, and this is also important for parent and players alike.

1.  Be safe.  Protect yourself!

2.  Have Fun.  You never know when you take your last at bat, so enjoy it while it lasts.
