Did you watch the Oscars? Me either. Watching the highlights was enough for me.
Ratings for the 87th Academy Awards was sharply down. Sunday night's audience was also the lowest for the broadcast in six years.
To the question: Why were ratings down? I believe it has everything to do with the host. I have nothing but #Repect for Niel Patrick Harris, but he is not a big enough name to carry that program. That is made clear by the 10.3 rating recieved.
This begs the question: If not Niel Patrick Harris, then who should have hosted? I fear long gone are the days of Hollywood GIANTS like Bob Hope and Johnny Carson, who could and did carry the program.
