MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) A nine-vehicle pileup involving a tractor-trailer in southwest Idaho has closed the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 in Meridian. Idaho State Police say the crash occurred during the morning commute Thursday. Police in Meridian say there are serious injuries. A hazardous materials team has responded due to spilled diesel fuel. Police say the freeway is backed up and motorists should find alternate routes. Authorities are investigating and haven't provided a cause for the crash.
