MERIDIAN, Idaho (AP) Three people have been transported to the hospital after a nine-vehicle pileup involving a tractor-trailer in southwest Idaho.
Idaho State Police say the crash occurred in the westbound lanes of Interstate 84 in Meridian during the Thursday morning commute. The crash initially closed all westbound lanes but one lane has been reopened.
Police in Meridian say there are serious injuries.
A hazardous materials team has responded due to spilled diesel fuel.
Police say motorists should find alternate routes while the scene is cleared.
Authorities are investigating and haven’t provided a cause for the crash.
