This weekend my boyfriend surprised me with a puppy! He said I didn't need to be missing out on the happiness of a dog and she will keep me company when no one is around. It's the sweetest little dog. An 8 month old Chihuahua. Her name is Shenzi Marie Predatora Veldetta Jacqulina Hyena. I know, what a strange name, but I can explain. If you have seen The Lion King then you know the three hyenas on there. One of them is played by Whoopi Goldberg. Her name is Shenzi. In The Lion King 1 1/2, Timon begs Shenzi not to eat him, so he proposes to her and says her full name, which is Shenzi Marie Predatora Veldetta Jacqulina Hyena.

We're big Lion King fans in my house.
The reason we named Shenzi after that is because she is a greyish-black chihuahua with a cow-lick on her neck. She looks just like Shenzi from the Lion King but without spots. I've been told I come up with some odd names for pets, but I'm 90% sure no one else has named their pet Shenzi.
