We are now within a week of the start of fall practice for Boise State Football. The league meetings have been held, they are traditionally the beginning of hype for the fall football season.
Boise State was again picked to win their division. BSU has been picked to win the league in all four of their Mountain West seasons, but have won just once in those four seasons, and they shared that title with two others teams two years ago. Fresno State has slipped in as the new MWC powerhouse with little fanfare. Fresno will be trying for their third consectuve title this fall. The Bulldogs have been picked to win their division as well.
So, the game to mark on your calendar is the Boise State-Fresno State matchup in Boise on October 17th. BSU lost two conference games to members of the West Division (Fresno, San Diego State) and it cost them a spot in the first MWC Championship Game. The Broncos have not lost to a member of their Mountain Division in 17 years.
