Shopping Online

A few years ago I reported the existence of a website designed to help extremely wealthy people buy things.  I don't remember the name of the website now, and I haven't been able to find the exact site using search engines, but I suspect the company may have changed hands.  The point of the website, however, was to gather a catalog of those things that only the super rich can afford.  There were yachts for sale, private jets, Rolex watches, Ferraris, luxury estates and even private islands.

Today I found a different catalog online.  This one doesn't provide lists of expensive items for sale.  It simply tells you where to shop if you want to buy the world's most expensive version of something.

For instance, if you'd like to eat at the world's most expensive restaurant, head for Ibiza, an island in the Mediterranean Sea off the cost of Spain.  There you'll find the newly-constructed Hard Rock Hotel, where you can enjoy a twenty-course meal in their private dining room for about $2,100 per person.

Would you like to own the world's most expensive dog?  Get yourself a Tibetan mastiff.  It's the most popular dog among the super rich in China, and a puppy will set you back two million dollars.

You can get the most expensive Starbucks beverage in the world for about 55 dollars by visiting any Starbucks, but you'll have to make a special request.  You won't find the Sexagintuple Vanilla Bean Mocha Frappuccino on their regular menu.  It includes 60 shots of espresso and is served in a 128-ounce glass.

Take a trip to New York City if you'd enjoy staying in the world's most expensive hotel room.  You'll find it at the Four Seasons in Manhattan.  It's called the Ty Warner Penthouse, and it comes with an unobstructed view of the New York skyline, including both the Empire State Building and the Chrysler Building.  It includes luxury furnishings, state-of-the-art technology and a 24-hour butler, and it can be yours for just 45-thousand dollars a night.

Victoria's Secret sells the world's most expensive bra.  You may have seen model Heidi Klum wearing it.  The Heavenly Star Bra is adorned with Sri Lankan pink sapphires and includes a large, emerald-cut diamond.  That's why its price tag is 12-and-a-half million dollars, not because it comes with Heidi Klum.  It doesn't.

Here's a way you can taste the most expensive cocktails in the world and also get rid of even more money.  Ask your travel agent about the World's Most Exclusive Drink Connoisseur's Holiday.  It's a vacation package that takes you to ten different locations on earth, and in each location you'll have the opportunity to run up a world-class bar tab.  At one stop you'll sample the world's most expensive rum for about 13-thousand dollars a bottle, and at another you'll get your fill of the world's most expensive champagne for 554-thousand dollars a bottle.  No sharing.

Lastly, for the world's most expensive haircut, head for the Stuart Phillips Holistic Hair Salon in London.  They'll send a private jet for you, if necessary.  They'll also provide you with your own security guards, personal shoppers and personal chef.  And they'll cut your hair, too, for a total price of about $33,000.
