They Say It’s Your Birthday

I recently celebrated my birthday. And my birthday is something I look forward to every year. I was counting down for like over a month, which drove some people insane. But overall it was a great birthday the day it came.

I bought myself a new car. I was looking at one for weeks and researching it before I committed to it, but in the end I did. Then when I bought it I drove to work and realized it is the exact same car as my boss' car. I thought that maybe that was a good thing because it means it is reliable and will last long. It doesn't matter anyway because it was a gift to myself.

I also got a piano for my birthday. I have never played, but I tell people all the time that I want to learn one day. I only talked about getting a keyboard and practicing on that, but when I saw a giant piano in my house I knew it was perfect. Plus, I've already learned the notes, the basics, and "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star".

And then I got small birthday shout outs on Facebook, Twitter, and on air. Paul J wished me a happy birthday on air and on Twitter, but he called me Kathryn…..due to auto correct on his phone.  I guess that's okay, because I know what he actually meant. And I got tons of cards from family, people I work with, and friends.

Overall it was an excellent birthday.
