Earlier this month I went on a trip to San Diego. After being in school for 4 years and working fulltime I never had the chance to go on trips. I was nervous because it had been years since I had been on a plane, but it actually wasn't that bad. My brother and I watched movies on my laptop while we waited to arrive. Our first stop was Las Vegas. Now I didn't leave the airport there but there were slot machines so I decided being 22 and never being Vegas in my life, it was time I gambled. I only spent like $3 dollars but I won 20 cents and that was awesome. I also never turned my ticket in to get my 20 cents because I thought the ticket looked neat. It will soon go into a scrapbook. We finally got back on the plane and after a short flight we arrived in San Diego. The thing I was most excited to see during the trip wasn't the zoo or the ocean, but instead a palm tree. I've only seen them in pictures and being able to touch one was beyond amazing. However, I forgot to take a picture with one. 🙁 Anyway, I stayed in a small apartment that a relative owned and the ocean was right next to my window. The one thing I hated most about the trip was the humidity. I could wash my hair and straighten it, but being outside for a few hours made it frizz. My brother and I had a blast getting seashells and yes, we caught a hermit crab. I named him Peter and took him back home with me, however, he didn't make it back to Idaho. We also went to the zoo which is a whole day trip because it is absolutely huge. I love animals though so I never complained. After our trip came to an end the fligut home felt like it took longer than it did to get there. And the funny part is, getting off the plane in Boise I thought I would freeze my butt off because it went from 70 degrees in California, to 81 degrees at our stop in Arizona, and then 30 degrees in Idaho. I will be taking a trip back to San Diego because I gotta get that picture with a palm tree.
