Yet another survivalist group has emerged in Northern Idaho to further enhance the image of the Gem State. The group plans to build a giant walled fortress in the woods of the
Idaho Panhandle. The purpose of the medieval style city is to provide a refuge when society collapses. Residents of the city would be required to own guns. The Citadel proposal has created quite a stir in nearby St. Maries, and snickers around the Northwest.
The promoter of the project is Christian Kerdin, and he expresses equality as one of the selling points. Each citizen of the Citadel would bring his own special skills to the project. The "city" would be home to up to 7,000 families, and would consist of housews, schools, a hotel and a firearms factory thqt would manufacture semi=automatic pistols and AR-15 rifles. Both would be illegal if Congress reinstates the 1994 ban on assault weapons.

Kerdin is a convicted felon who was convicted in 2004 of extortion, and illegal possession of a firearm when he posed as a counterterrorism expert in Washington, D.C. He served 30 months in Federal prison.
I would ask the group, if they are survivalists, why they would build a giant walled city to draw attention to themselves, when they could simply live among us gentiles anonimously. Then it hit me, 7,000 families at the $208 joining fee is $1,556,000. If that fee is non refundable, and the city does not come to fruition, and the weather is nice in Mexico, Just sayin
