Voters in the Nampa School District will be asked to approve a two-year, $12 million-per-year supplemental levy on election day – Nov 5th…
The levy would replace the current $9.4 million supplemental levy that voters passed in 2017, which expires June 30th.
The Nampa School District says the levy would help the district maintain existing programs and services, upgrade playgrounds and buildings, update technology and curriculum, and more. The district said the levy supports needs that aren’t covered sufficiently by state funding.
The Idaho Press reports, the proposed $12 million-per-yer levy represents roughly 12.5% of the district’s general fund budget.
